LIVE ONLINE COURSE ON MANAGING COSMETIC PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
DATES:
10 DEC 2026 - 11 FEB 2027
DURATION:
7 WEEKS
TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS
7 PM AEDT

Learn to turn a beauty product concept into a fully launched, market-ready product.

Guided by Alyce Wangmann, a former Senior Product Development Leader at MCoBeauty with over a decade in beauty NPD, you'll leave with a full go-to-market pitch deck.

THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU, IF...

  • YOU ARE A JUNIOR PRODUCT MANAGER OR NPD PRO

Junior product managers are stuck coordinating samples and tracking sheets instead of owning launches. This cosmetic product development course teaches stage-gate management, cross-functional alignment, and cost of goods control through real product development frameworks. You'll be able to direct a beauty product from concept to launch and step into the leadership roles employers are hiring for.

  • YOU ARE A JUNIOR R&D OR COSMETIC CHEMIST

Junior R&D and cosmetic chemists have deep lab expertise but little visibility into commercial decisions. This beauty product development course builds product briefing, supplier negotiation, and go-to-market skills on top of your existing formulation knowledge. You'll walk away able to bridge technical execution with strategic product leadership.

  • YOU ARE A BRAND FOUNDER OR INDIE COSMETIC ENTREPRENEUR

Indie brand founders are stuck guessing at compliance, supplier terms, and unit economics with no structured playbook. This cosmetic developer course covers regulatory strategy, ODM and packaging negotiation, and COGS modelling used by working product development managers. You'll leave with an end-to-end blueprint for developing, testing, and launching a compliant beauty product.

ABOUT THE COURSE / WHAT YOU'LL DO
01
HANDS-ON DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
Across 7 hands-on workshops, you'll deconstruct benchmark products, run a regulatory crisis simulation, and pressure-test emerging trends in "Would You Invest?" Five assignments push you to build a real product brief, competitive map, regulatory roadmap, and go-to-market plan. By the end, you'll think and work like a practising product development manager.
02
REAL-WORLD CASE STUDIES
The course draws on real product launches and failures, a hands-on product dissection, and stability testing results from the beauty industry. You'll examine what separates a successful cosmetics launch from a costly recall and apply those lessons directly to your own product concept.
03
A PORTFOLIO-READY PITCH DECK
Your final project is a 6-slide strategic pitch deck built progressively across all 5 assignments. It integrates market opportunity, regulatory roadmap, supply chain logistics, and unit economics into one investor-ready concept. You leave with a tangible portfolio piece you can present to employers or investors.
