SECTION 4: PROFESSIONAL IMPACT
Since completing the course, have you noticed any improvements in your job performance?
My current job is not in the video game industry, but in my job, I've learned to look for stories and voices that focus more on the people involved and less on the data. It's helped me make stronger connections with my colleagues and the community I serve.
Have you noticed any changes in your confidence levels?
I've been more confident about sharing my writing with others, which is a huge step for me. I'm more confident in telling people I want to be a game writer.
Have you noticed any improvements in your career prospects?
No but that's because I haven't applied as much as I've wanted to.
Can you share examples of how these changes are related to your initial goals?
My initial goals were to score 80 points and make new connections. Exceeding the first goal reminded me that I am a good writer and that gave me the confidence to attend GDC last month with two friends from the course, and we made even more connections with people from all around the world.
SECTION 5: FUTURE GOALS
How has this course influenced or shaped your future professional goals?
It made me more determined to follow my passion and pursue a career in the game industry.
Are there any additional skills or knowledge you would like to acquire to further pursue your goals?
How to sharpen my portfolio and how to be better at creative writing.
