SECTION 1: INITIAL GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS

What specific goals or objectives did you have in mind when you enrolled in this course?

I wanted to have deeper knowledge on how to tackle problems in the AI space from multiple directions, product, and design.

What were your expectations for this course in terms of professional development or career advancement?

I expected to get an overview of technology that would help me participate in conversations, know what to research, and to weave in concepts in my personal work. I expected that I would be chosen for AI projects, AI work, and I took it much further. I have been developing training for my own teams, going deeper into my consulting practice and developing my own products.

STUDENT STARTER POINTS

01
Wanted deeper knowledge to tackle AI problems in product and design.
02
Expected an overview of technology for better work discussions.
03
Wanted to weave AI concepts into her personal work.

SECTION 2: COURSE EFFECTIVENESS

On a scale from 1 to 5, how well did the course help you achieve your initial goals?

5

Can you provide specific examples of how the course content or activities aligned with your initial goals?

The course content for AI product management was great; it reinforced my product practice and deepened my research skills while helping me articulate why I was making decisions. The content helped me go deeper in my research and determine how I wanted to write algorithms, and what data was needed. In the future on projects, I did the same process, used my notes and was able to effectively evaluate new systems. In the AI for design course, I learned how to approach AI projects, evaluate them for where they were, and determine where the best course of action was. I redesigned how I did service design, and applied it to my government work and taught my teams how to look at the data in a system for opportunities in multi-modality.

SECTION 3: SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED

What specific skills or knowledge did you gain from this course that directly contributed to achieving your goals?

I learned how to do research for AI products, draw service maps, develop testing plans and how to understand the layers of multimodalities in AI products.

How have you applied these skills or knowledge in your work or other professional situations?

I've used these in all of my professional consulting environments, developed my own products, and written RFP's with the research I learned.

SECTION 4: PROFESSIONAL IMPACT

Since completing the course, have you noticed any improvements in your job performance?

Yes, I have been promoted to the AI Design Lead in my national group, I have won multiple AI hackathons for design work, and recently won an Innovation contest across Europe for an AI product I created. It has given me a voice at the table.

Have you noticed any changes in your confidence levels?

I am much more able to have discussions, participate in work, and I can show my teams what I am talking about.

Have you noticed any improvements in your career prospects?

I am moving up in my field, and am able to lead in new areas. I still have more to develop, but I am able to look for things that are really suitable with confidence.

Can you share examples of how these changes are related to your initial goals?

I knew I wanted to work in AI, that it was coming big for my field - UX. I think learning at ELVTR empowered me to see where I could take it, how I could be an architect and utilise design to build products rather than just use tools.

SECTION 5: FUTURE GOALS

How has this course influenced or shaped your future professional goals?

Yes, I want to move to an AI department or lead a group in designing AI products.

Are there any additional skills or knowledge you would like to acquire to further pursue your goals?

Yes, I would like to be able to prototype and develop AI products on my own with tools or vibe coding.
